Flew to Denver en route to Wilderness Medicine training. Stopped at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge and completed the driving tour as well as some of the trail hikes. Located outside the Denver International Airport, this NWR is well worth the visit. I was fortunate enough to observe a family of owls enjoying lunch at the start of my tour.
From there, I drove on to Moab, Utah for my course. A couple of shorter days allowed for visits to the Arches and Canyonlands (Needles) National Parks.
